I honestly don’t remember how I found Greentop Gifts, but it was at least a couple of years ago, and I am very glad that I did. Now my gifts to friends and family from my favorite Black-owned companies get gift-wrapped in paper from a Black-owned company too!
Clarence Claus is the center of all Greentop Gift products, and you can find his chocolate skin and wide grin prominently featured throughout their collections—wrapping paper, gift bags, labels, ornaments, hats, sweatshirts, socks, and now masks and pajamas!

I started with wrapping paper and have added to my Clarence Claus collection every year. I love the way the wrapped gifts look under the tree, the way Clarence smiles at me between the boughs on an ornament, and the smiles he inspires when others see him on my sweatshirt. I also love that Greentop introduces new products every year, so there’s always something more to look forward to at Christmastime.
The products are high quality, and so is the service. I had the opportunity to meet the owners last year at the Essence Target Holiday Market event, and they were every bit as friendly as I imagine Clarence to be. Items ship quickly, so you don’t have to wait long to experience the joy of Clarence’s smile. I know I can’t see his smiling face and not smile myself.
A roll of wrapping paper costs about $7.50 and covers 3-5 gifts. For those who prefer to “throw it in the bag,” single gift bags start at $4.50 and you can save on a set of 10 for $30. Apparel starts at $18 for the littlest believers and runs up to $50 for the full-grown ones. The ornaments and accessories start at $3.95 for a bit of Clarence on a button and run up to $65 to wrap yourself in a Clarence blanket. I really don’t think that you can put a price on joy, but Greentop Gifts might be a good place to start.

Since I discovered Greentop Gifts, my Christmas is not complete without Clarence Claus. Clearly, I am slightly obsessed with Clarence, but, honestly, I think that once you see him, you will be too.
Happy buying!
