You might recall just add honey from my visit to The Village Market ATL last year. I have loved them ever since and was happy to revisit.
Atmosphere:
You’ll find bright walls, a delicious aroma, and friendly staff at both locations—the original one in the Sweet Auburn Market and the newest one not far from Krog Street Market on the Beltline. When you walk into just add honey, you just feel good. The Sweet Auburn Market location is a bit smaller but features more available outside seating while the Beltline location is a little bit bigger with plenty of room for group work or discussions. I always feel really positive and productive when I’m there.

Food:
On the rare occasion that I get a bite to eat during my visit, it’s a delicious treat from another Black-owned business called Two Dough Girls. Their treats always pair really well with literally any tea you could order.
Speaking of tea, both locations have shelves full of various loose leaf tea flavors, and I have yet to be disappointed with any of the ones I’ve tried. I started with hibiscus iced tea, which was delicious with a little simple syrup to sweeten (I have a bit of a sweet tooth). I bought some of the vanilla chai to brew at home. Every cup was just as good as the one before it, and it was the perfect addition to my Saturday morning routine.

Going into the store, I have had some of the most delicious drinks with the iced Georgia Peach tea and Honey Lavender Latte being my go-to drinks. While they specialize in teas, coffee is also available, if you prefer.

Price:
Loose leaf teas to brew at home are available for purchase for about $5 per ounce. A drink prepared in-store will cost between $3 and $5. You can also enjoy a parTEA experience for under $40. I haven’t yet had the pleasure of a parTEA, but it is definitely on my bucket list.

Service:
Brandi and her husband own just add honey and they are amazing. I met them when they were vending at The Village Market ATL. They were super knowledgeable about their teas and I was comfortable with them immediately. Their staff also know their stuff and make great recommendations. The entire team is always smiling and willing to answer all of your questions. And, if you pull up a seat at the bar at the Beltline location, they’re happy to just chat.
Overall:
Just add honey has been in business for over 13 years and it’s clear they know what they’re doing. They host monthly tea blending classes and, from time to time, Brandi has hosted tea retreats to help women slow down and really take care of themselves. If you are in or around the Atlanta area, you definitely need to try just add honey.
Happy buying!
